Mage is a project director at MDRC who specializes in employment-focused interventions and in programs serving opportunity youth and young adults. She brings 15 years of experience at MDRC and over two decades in the evaluation and technical assistance field, with a strong understanding of strategies that help participants access and engage in the labor market. Mage is skilled in the design, implementation, and management of large-scale projects aimed at improving outcomes for individuals and families with low incomes.

Currently, she serves as project director for Building Opportunities and Optimizing Skills Transitions (BOOST), a statewide initiative funded by the California Employment Development Department that supports organizations in enhancing employment pathways for opportunity youth and young adults. She also serves as deputy project director for the federal Building Evidence on Employment Strategies (BEES) project, which tests innovative approaches nationwide to help people with low incomes improve their employment and economic outcomes. Across her portfolio, Mage focuses on supporting programs to strengthen implementation, improve service delivery, and build capacity for continuous learning.

In addition to her work on employment programs, her past projects at MDRC have included partnerships with child support offices, home visiting programs serving pregnant women and new mothers, and other youth-serving organizations. Mage holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Social Work.
