Luna works in MDRC’s Postsecondary Education Policy Area. He analyzes data on MoCCA, a project to evaluate and refine a program focused improving the success rates of male students of color in college, using a randomized control trial study. He is also working on Evidence to Action, a project focused on understanding how states use rigorous research to inform higher education decision-making. Prior to joining MDRC in 2020, Luna worked as a research assistant with various organizations including Urban Institute, Public Impact, and Duke University’s Bass Connections teams. He also volunteered as a tutor in Durham, North Carolina. Luna graduated from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in public policy.
