Family Well-Being and Children’s Development

Salzer is a technical research assistant in the Family Well-Being and Children’s Development policy area. She is currently working on three projects: Measures for Early Success, a collaboration between the Gates Foundation and MDRC that supports innovative solutions and develops scalable, comprehensive, and validated assessment tools to measure children’s developmental gains; Guilford Readiness of Children for School (ROCS), a study that seeks to ensure families of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers receive what they need, when they need it, by implementing a connected system of care; and MIHOPE-3G, a third-grade follow-up to the Mother and Infant Home Visiting Program Evaluation. Before joining MDRC in 2023, she interned with the Politics and Policy Team at the Pew Research Center in Washington, D.C. Salzer holds a bachelor’s degree in government and computer science, with a minor in data science and statistics, from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.
