Informing the Future of Home Visiting
MIHOPE expects to include about 12 states, which are enrolling in the study on an on-going basis. MIHOPE field researchers have begun enrolling study participants in California, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Washington, and Wisconsin. Other states receiving MIECHV funds remain potential study locations.
All states receiving MIECHV funding are required to participate in MIHOPE, if invited. However, the research team is seeking states that:
- Are implementing at least two of the four home visiting program models selected by 10 or more states: Early Head Start, Healthy Families America, Nurse-Family Partnership, and Parents as Teachers
- Have multiple local program sites operating in the state
- Provide geographic diversity
