Website Launched for New Center for the Analysis of Postsecondary Readiness
The Center for the Analysis of Postsecondary Readiness (CAPR), a collaboration of the Community College Research Center and MDRC, has just launched a new website. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences, CAPR is documenting current practices in developmental English and math education across the United States and rigorously assessing the effects of innovative assessment and instructional practices on student success.
CAPR will use findings from this research to assist states and colleges in crafting policies and programs in developmental education that lead to improved outcomes for struggling students. CAPR is led by Thomas Bailey, CCRC’s Director, and Lashawn Richburg-Hayes, the Director of MDRC’s Young Adult and Postsecondary Education policy area.
