Caroline Morris
Research Assistant, MDRC Center for Data Insights

Morris works with MDRC’s Center for Data Insights, where she focuses on the TANF Data Innovation (TDI) initiative and TANF Data Collaborative (TDC). These projects support TANF agency efforts to routinely use TANF and other administrative data to inform policy and practice. She is also involved in the Gaining Unemployment Insurance Data Expertise (GUIDE) Initiative, developing webinars and learning exchanges on the process of requesting, accessing, processing, and analyzing state unemployment insurance wage records. Prior to joining MDRC in January 2020, Morris worked with the MIT D-Lab and MIT Media Lab as a research assistant. As a student, she conducted needs assessment surveys, focus groups, and co-designed workshops in Uttarakhand, India for the Xylem Water Filter Project, and conducted skill-building trainings for refugee youth in Athens, Greece with D-Lab’s Humanitarian Innovation group. She graduated from Wellesley College with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences.
