Emily Davies
Technical Research Assistant, Family Well-Being and Children’s Development

Davies works in the Family Well-Being and Children’s Development policy area, where she concentrates on three projects: an early childhood education study with Boston Public Schools, Expanding Children’s Early Learning (ExCEL) P-3: Promoting Sustained Gains from Preschool to Third Grade, an outcome pilot project with the interdisciplinary pediatric primary care program, HealthySteps, and the national home visiting evaluation, Mother and Infant Home Visiting Evaluation (MIHOPE). Prior to joining MDRC in 2018, Davies graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in ethnicity, migration, and rights. For her thesis she analyzed differences in longitudinal outcomes of former foster care youth based on foster care discharge type.
