About MDRC

Nugent works in MDRC’s Youth Development, Criminal Justice, and Employment policy area, supporting partner programs and implementation research for two fatherhood-focused federal evaluations: Building Bridges and Bonds and Strengthening the Implementation of Responsible Fatherhood Programs. Across these evaluations, his responsibilities include conducting interviews, assisting with site recruitment efforts, developing site engagement materials, and contributing to project dissemination. Before joining MDRC, Nugent conducted a yearlong independent research project through the Watson Fellowship, which focused on the role of cultural capital in accessing higher education in Chile, Finland, Germany, South Korea, and Japan. Nugent graduated from Hamilton College in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a minor in Hispanic studies.
