If you would like to obtain Public Use Files, please make your request using one of the following methods:

MDRC cannot accept telephone requests for Public Use Files.
 

What to Include in a Written Request

All requests for Public Use Files must include the following information:
 
  1. The name and File ID number for each Public Use File
  2. A brief description of your intended analysis, including any information that will enable us to determine the degree to which the analysis is consistent with MDRC’s mission
  3. Your contact information, including:

    name
    title
    institutional affiliation (if any)
    address, city, state, ZIP
    telephone number
    fax number (if any)
    e-mail address

  4. Your signature

If your request is approved, we will send you a “Confidentiality and Disclaimer Form.” Please sign this document and return the original to the address listed above. Upon receipt, MDRC will send you a CD containing the data and documentation via Federal Express.

If your request is not approved, MDRC will contact you by e-mail or postal mail to inform you of our decision.
