MDRC Authors Receive Outstanding Article Award from Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness

The Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE) recently recognized MDRC’s Howard Bloom, Michael Weiss, and Kristin Porter and their coauthor Stephen Raudenbush of the University of Chicago with the first Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness Outstanding Article Award for their paper, “Using Multisite Experiments to Study Cross-Site Variation in Treatment Effects: A Hybrid Approach with Fixed Intercepts and a Random Treatment Coefficient."

Bloom (right) and Weiss accepted the award from SREE Board member Lindsay Page of the University of Pittsburgh at a plenary event at the SREE Spring conference on February 28.
