States with MIHOPE & MIHOPE-Strong-Start Sites

There are 108 local home visiting programs across 17 states participating in the Mother and Infant Home Visiting Program Evaluation (MIHOPE) and/or the Mother and Infant Home Visiting Program Evaluation – Strong Start (MIHOPE-Strong Start).

MIHOPE is operating in 12 states. These states are using funds from the federal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program to operate Early Head Start – Home-Based Option (EHS), Healthy Families America (HFA), Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), and/or Parents as Teachers (PAT) programs, the evidence-based home visiting programs included in MIHOPE.

MIHOPE-Strong Start includes families from 17 states. All of the MIHOPE program sites offering HFA or NFP with families eligible for MIHOPE-Strong Start are included in the study. Six of the MIHOPE states have additional sites that are enrolling families directly into MIHOPE-Strong Start. Additional sites in five other states are exclusively participating in MIHOPE-Strong Start.
