MDRC Welcomes Four “Ladders for Leaders” Interns to Its New York City Office

MDRC is pleased to be hosting four students as paid interns this summer, as part of New York City’s Ladders for Leaders program:

Safwan Ahmed

Safwan Ahmed is a rising junior at Baruch College, where he is majoring in finance. While at MDRC this summer, Safwan will be working with our human resources and legal departments and on MDRC’s Data Management Initiative.

Philip Chan

Philip Chan is a rising senior at Fordham University, where he is majoring in political science and economics and minoring in history and classics. At MDRC, he will be working with our program development department.

Gokul Mistry

Gokul Mistry is a sophomore at Queensborough Community College, where he is majoring in computer engineering. Before his internship at MDRC, he interned as a website developer at Queens Community House. Gokul will be working with MDRC’s help desk team.

Justin Wong

Justin Wong is a rising sophomore studying computer science and mathematics at the University of Rochester. Justin will be working with MDRC’s help desk team.

Ladders for Leaders is a nationally recognized program that offers outstanding high school and college students the opportunity to participate in paid professional summer internships with leading corporations, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies in New York City. Ladders for Leaders is a component of NYC’s Summer Youth Employment Program, the nation’s largest summer jobs program. It is administered by the Department of Youth and Community Development and supported by the Mayor’s Office for Youth Employment and the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City.
