Lewis is MDRC’s Director of Risk Management and Special Projects, supporting the organization’s federal portfolio with a focus on quality assurance and risk mitigation. She supports ongoing projects and proposals, working with teams to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. Lewis also leads the Data Collection Unit within MDRC. In that role, she executes internal and external data collection projects, leveraging her decades of survey research experience to advise project teams on best practices, methods, and protocols. Before joining MDRC, she was a research director at Abt Associates (previously Abt SRBI), where she led project-planning activities and the execution of large-scale data collection. At Abt, she took the lead role in identifying, testing, and implementing new methods and approaches based on current research and best practices within the industry. Lewis also previously worked for The Mellman Group, a political polling firm, supporting nonprofit and political clients, including presidential and local election campaigns. Lewis holds a bachelor’s degree in American history and political science from Boston University and a master’s degree in applied politics from the American University.
