Cellura is a research assistant in the Postsecondary Education policy area. He currently supports the Multiple Measures Assessment Project, which is evaluating alternative course placement systems that use multiple measures in addition to test scores. He also supports the Scaling Up College Completion Efforts for Student Success program in Minnesota, which provides in-depth technical assistance to design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive student support programs that are designed to be cost-effective and capable of being sustained and expanded to a large scale.
Cellura is from Toledo, Ohio. In the spring of 2020, he graduated from the University of Cincinnati (UC) with a bachelor of arts in political science and with a focus in gender and multicultural politics. While attending UC, he was heavily involved with the Roosevelt Network, which helped cultivate his interest in equity-centered postsecondary education policy and research.
