Seeking Arts Programs That Offer Work Opportunities to Young People
MDRC and the UCLA Visual and Performing Arts Education Program are conducting a research study commissioned by The Wallace Foundation to better understand the field of community-based youth arts programs that offer paid work opportunities for high school–aged youth.
As part of this study, the research team seeks to identify programs across the United States that meet both these criteria:
- Provide arts-based opportunities for learning and development outside of school settings, and
- Offer paid work experiences in workplace settings for older high school–aged youth, such as employment, internships, or apprenticeships, connected to arts-based careers.
To nominate programs for inclusion in the study, please fill out this form by July 15.
Programs identified through this process may be invited to participate in a brief questionnaire, interview, or other research activities as part of the study. Participation is voluntary.
