Lastly, Saiz supports MDRC’s Director of State and Local Strategy, Melissa Wavelet, by tracking current state initiatives, nurturing important work with government partners, and expanding the impact of that work.
Previously, Saiz was a research assistant in the Economic Mobility, Communities, and Housing policy area, where she provided technical assistance and qualitative research support for the Stepped and Tiered Rent Demonstration, Supporting Moves to Opportunity, a Better Life, and Building Evidence on Employment Strategies (BEES).
Before joining MDRC, Saiz conducted and coded qualitative research interviews at New York University to examine the sociocultural context of children’s early development through learning experiences both at home and at school. In addition, Saiz was a Gueron Scholars Program intern during the summer of 2021. Saiz holds a bachelor’s degree with majors in applied psychology and Spanish from New York University.
